Brief welcomes submissions of previously unpublished poetry, prose, essays, art and hybrid forms at any time during the year.

To submit to brief, email your submission in electronic form to brief.the.journal @gmail.com. Submissions should include a short bio. Non-electronic submissions up to A4 in size can be mailed to the editor by prior arrangement. We do accept simultaneous submissions but request that you notify us to withdraw your submission if it is accepted elsewhere.
Please note that brief does not have a typographical ‘house style’ – instead, we endeavour to closely reproduce the presentation of your work. Copyright reverts to the author on publication. Contributors currently receive an issue of the journal as payment.
Contributors are encouraged to subscribe to the journal, in order to support it and to foster creative exchange.
Brief does not currently accept unsolicited reviews. However, if you would like to review for us, or have something you think we would be interested in reviewing, please contact the editor.
